New to Yoga House?
If you have never done yoga before, we recommend starting with a more gentle class which will guide you through a slow flow of the basic poses. Almost every class we have on our timetable is beginner friendly as we wanted our studio to be inclusive to ALL no matter where they are on their yoga journey. If you’re brand new to yoga, here’s the best classes to get started:
Frequently Asked Questions
The timetable has been designed to be inclusive to all. You can be a complete beginner and still come along and enjoy Restorative Flow, Energy Heal, Calm & Flow, Calming Yin, Soundbath & Meditate, Bhakti Flow. Hatha is also a lovely gentle flow which will challenge your poses further but still super beginner friendly.
There’s always options to simplify or challenge a pose.
All classes are suitable to beginners, however just keep in mind Vinyasa Flow, Dynamic and Power Flow are up beat classes, following a flow of yoga poses suitable for beginners and advanced yogis.
It greatly depends on what the injury was, so it’s always best to talk it through with your yoga teacher first but if you have been cleared by your doctor to exercise then maybe try our Restorative Flow class first. This class is a very gentle pace, concentrating on alignment and flexibility with a lot of work done sitting on the floor. The class uses lots of of props (blocks and cushions) to make you feel comfortable in poses.
You should wear something comfortable which allows you to move freely. Bare feet or yoga socks. It’s all about the comfort!
Everyone. Young, old, anywhere in between. Small, large, flexible, inflexible, fit or unfit.
Thinking you’re not flexible enough to do yoga is like saying you’re too dirty to take a bath!
If you can breathe, you can do yoga!
You can use the lockers provided or use the changing room benches and coat hooks.
Please ensure you arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your session. Please do not be late to the class. The front doors will be closed and locked 1 minute before the class start time to ensure we begin on time. I’m afraid late comers won’t be able to gain access to the class once it has begun and we do not offer refunds on classes/memberships for any reason including non attendance due to being late

You will need to book your class in advance to arriving at the studio. You can book classes up to an hour before the class is due to start. You can become a member online to book your classes, or alternatively buy a class pass on the website.
We understand that sometimes you may need to cancel a booked class. If you can’t make it, please log in to the members area on our website and cancel your class with at least 2 hours notice before the class start time.
If you fail to cancel within the 2 hours, or simply don’t show up for a booked class twice over the month, we may prevent you from booking classes for a week. This is simply to ensure everyone can book classes and not miss out on spaces. We hugely appreciate your understanding on the class cancellation policy
